Department of Hotel and Tourism Management



The programme of tourism and hotel management at Philadelphia University is committed to providing an excellent undergraduate education that incorporates management and business theories and practices in the tourism and hotel industry through coursework and industry interactions to meet the current trends in the hospitality industry.

 

As a student, you will learn the concepts and techniques related to tourism, hotel and restaurant operations, international marketing, food preparation and service, financial analysis, accounting, front and back office operations. Students will also develop appropriate analytical and managerial competencies, which will enable them to respond to strategic issues, as well as developing their capacity to stimulate change in response to current and future developments. Students will gain industry standard software applications, leadership, operations, and management skills. This is aided by a 144-hour placement, designed to give them further hands-on skills that will help make them even more attractive to potential employers.

 

This combination would give students a number of routes into one of the world’s largest economic sectors.
