Background
I am the head and an assistant professor in the Department of Web Engineering and the Department of Managment Information Systems in the Faculty of Information Technology in Philadelphia University in Amman, Jordan. I joined Philadelphia in the Fall (first) semester of 2009, right after receiving my PhD degree.

I finished my PhD degree from the Department of Computer Science at the University of Georgia (UGA) in Athens, Georgia in the Summer semester of 2009. I joined the program in the Spring semester (January) of 2004.

While at UGA, I was a member of the Large Scale Distributed Information Systems (LSDIS) research lab as a research assistant, working on the SemDis project since Fall (August) 2004, developing approaches for ontology quality evaluation and ontology-based question answering.

My PhD advisor was Dr. I. Budak Arpinar. My advisory committee also includes Dr. John A. Miller and Dr. Liming Cai.

My PhD dissertation is titled "Ontology-Driven Question Answering and Ontology Quality Evaluation" and I successfully defended it on May 25, 2009.

I earned my B.Sc. degree in 1998 and my M.Sc. degree in 2002, both in Computer Science and from the University of Jordan in Amman, Jordan.

My research interests include the Arabic NLP, Semantic Web, Ontologies, reverse engineering of software and databases.
