The department received its first class in the academic year 1991/1992 after recruiting the required number of qualified teaching staff and securing the required references, books and refereed specialized periodicals.

The objective of the Department is to graduate specialists in Banking and Financial institutions for the benefit of the industrial and commercial sectors and the national economy in general.

The Department offers an academic program leading to Bachelor degree in Financial and Banking Sciences upon completion of (132) credit hours, integrating theory and practice. There are (11) staff members in the department.
