The 21st International Conference on Cultural Criticism in the Arab World - April 11-13, 2017
On the occasion of Philadelphia University’s 25th Anniversary, the Faculty of Arts will be holding its 21st Conference under the title of “Cultural Criticism in the Arab World: Current and Future Prospects.” The Conference comes in response to the need to assess the current state of cultural criticism as an interdisciplinary field of study that can identify the structural patterns of Arab society. It aims at analyzing these patterns in light of the transformations that have been taking place over the last few decades from the philosophical, political, economic, social, literary, and artistic perspectives as well as the ways they have been presented in the mass media.
