The 20 International Conference on The Youth: Representations and Future Prospects - 2-5/11/2015
In light of the historic events that Arab societies are presently witnessing, the hopes for an auspicious future lie in the hands of the youth of our nations. However, in reality, the role of the youth remains marginalized in many Arabic societies as they have not yet begun to assert their right as creative, critical thinkers and active participants in decision making, the shaping of public opinion or partaking in modeling the future of the Arab nation.
Stemming from this premise, Philadelphia University’s 20th International Conference aims to tackle the issue of the Representations of youth in Arabic Cultural heritage. In addition, it also aims at diagnosing the specific circumstances that our youth face in the modern era with the purpose of enabling them to unleash their potential energy and invest that energy in the future benefit of their societies.
