The Faculty of Arts was founded in 1991 and received its first group of students at the beginning of the Academic year 1991-1992. Since then the Faculty has grown rapidly and attracted a large number of students from Jordan and from abroad. The Faculty consists of five departments: Arabic Language and Literature, English Language and Literature, Graphic Design, Interior Design, and Human and Social Sciences. At the moment, the Faculty offers BA degrees in Arabic Language and Literature, Graphic Design, English Language and Literature and Interior Design. It also offers a Master's degree in English Language and Literature. As for the Department of Human and Social Sciences, it offers elective courses such as Civic Education and Human thought and Culture to all University' students.
