A new transformer called FOLT - transformer was designed, built and tested in this project FOLT- transformer are flexible operational losses transformers. The main objective of this new type transformer was to reduce energy losses as the load on transformers is changed. Tests on a prototype of 10 KVA, Y-?, 330/110 volts, 50 Hz. shows that savings can be achieved during the twenty-four hours a day. Results of the testing are presented and recommendations for future work are investigated in this project.
