The Library building consists of four main floors:
- The Ground Floor accommodates the main entrance and racks for new books.

Featured in the entrance is a splendid replica of the ancient map of Jerusalem and the Holy Land completed in the 6th Century A.D. and found in one of the Madaba churches.

- The First Floor accommodates the two main reading halls of the Arabic collection:
- The first hall houses books on the following topics: computer science, philosophy, religion, and law.
- Ihsan Abbas Hall houses books on the following topics: Languages, Engineering, Administration, Literature, History, and Geography.
- E-Circulation Desk.
- Online Cataloguing Area.
- Technical Processing Office.
- Computerized Teaching Lab.
- Acquisition Section.
- The Second Floor accommodates the main hall of the English
Collection and Administration Offices.
- The Third Floor accommodates Arabic and English Periodicals.
- The Fourth Floor accommodates:
- The Electronic Library with 40 PCs connected to the Internet with online access to hundreds of databases and information resources.
- Carrels for reading.
- Teaching facilities for Library & Information Science Dept.
such as classrooms, teaching staff rooms, labs, etc.
- A seminar hall.
