Overview
The Faculty of Science was established in 1991. The first class of the Faculty graduated in 1995. Since its inception, the Faculty of Science has been providing courses in Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, and Nutrition for students of all majors at PU. Courses in Computer Skills are now offered by the Department of Basic Sciences.
As a response to the local and regional need of quality workforce in Biotechnology, at the onset of the twenty-first century, the Department of Biotechnology and Genetic Engineering was established. The department admitted its first class of students at the beginning of the academic year 2000-2001. In the academic year 2003/2004 the faculty of Science established a new program that offers a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics. more...
