The Ninth International Conference of Confucius Institutes
The Ninth International Conference of Confucius Institutes was held in Xiamen City, China during the period 7-8 December 2014, in the presence of 475 Confucius Institutes from 126 countries representatives. The conference was attended by about 2000 persons, including a number of ambassadors, university presidents and senior education officials from several countries.

The 10th Anniversary of Confucius Institute and Confucius Day Serial Activities at Confucius Institute of Philadelphia University
In order to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Confucius Institute Confucius Institute of Philadelphia University organized a Confucius Institute day serial activities on September 27th on the 7th floor of Abu Al Haj Commercial Complex.

The Second Meeting of Board of Directors of Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University, Jordan, Held at Liaocheng University, China
The ex-president of Philadelphia University, Dr. Mohammad A. Awwad and the adviser to the president of Philadelphia University Dr. Ibrahim Badran visited China’s Liaocheng University and the Headquarters of Confucius Institute from May the 5th to 10th 2014. During their visit to Liaocheng University, they, representing Philadelphia University, held the second Meeting of Board of Directors of Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University, Jordan, together with the other directors of the board form Liaocheng University, including deputy Chairman of the board, Dr. Li Zhe, and Professor Liu Sheng, dean of School of International Education and Exchanges of Liaocheng University.

The Ribbon-cutting Ceremony of the Chinese Cultural Centre and the Opening Ceremony of the First Chinese Course by Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University, Jordan
On March 10, 2013, the Ribbon-cutting Ceremony of the Chinese Cultural Centre and the Opening Ceremony of the First Chinese Course was successfully held by Confucius Institute of Philadelphia University, Jordan. The Chinese Ambassador Dr. Yue Xiaoyong, Mr. Nie Guo’an, the Cultural Councilor from Chinese Embassy, Dr. Marwan Kamal, president of Philadelphia University and Vice-president of the Sino-Jordan Friendship Association, Dr. Mohammad Awwad, the Vice-President and Director of the University’s Language Centre, Dr. Ibrahim Badran, Advisor to the President of Philadelphia University, Mr. Zhang Chengyu, Director of TAG Confucius Institute, Dr. Xiao Renfei, head of the Chinese Department of Jordan University and some teachers from the Philadelphia University attended this ceremony. About 60 students from Chinese language classes and Kungfu classes participated in the performance

Jordanian Director of Confucius Institute at Philadelphia University, Jordan, Dr. Ghazu’s Visit to Liaocheng University, China
From 16th to 18th December the 7th Global Conference of Confucius Institutes was held in Beijing, China. Delegates of 400 Confucius Institutes from 108 countries, about 2100 people attended, including 50 ambassadors and consulates, more than 100 university presidents and educational officials from different countries.
