Dr. Aya Fawzy Mohamed Ali is an accomplished Assistant Professor of Physical Therapy specializing in Orthopedic and Sports Rehabilitation.
With a distinguished academic background, including a PhD from Cairo University focused on the efficacy of core training for chronic mechanical neck pain, she has built a robust career at the intersection of clinical practice, academia, and research.
Previously , Dr. Aya Ali served as an Assistant Professor and Acting Head of the Musculoskeletal Injuries and Surgeries department at MTI University, where she is deeply involved in teaching, curriculum development, and academic administration. She also holds a part-time faculty position at the University of Hertfordshire (hosted in Egypt by GAF). Her leadership extends to roles as President of the Student Activity Committee and Head of the International and Cultural Affairs Office, where she fosters international collaborations and student development.
As an avid researcher, Dr. Aya Ali has authored publications in reputable journals and has several ongoing research projects, including international collaborations with international universities .
Her research interests include musculoskeletal disorders, tele-rehabilitation, gamification in physical therapy, and the intersection of nutrition and metabolic health with physical rehabilitation , woman health and biopsychosocial aspects and education developments .
She is also a skilled clinician with extensive experience in private practice clinics and hospitals , having served as a senior physiotherapist and nutritionist for various clinics and as the physiotherapist for the Egyptian Ladies National Basketball Team.
