The focus of the Conference is on the role of e-learning and open-education in the provision of high–quality higher education at an optimal economically feasible cost. Welcome to the Fourth IEEE International Symposium on Innovation in Information and Communication Technology, and welcome to Amman. The scope of this symposium is fairly wide, since it is intended to serve as a forum for discussing the wide range of issues that are raised by today’s Information and Communication Technology, as well as their evolution and their paradigm shifts. The Fourth Training Workshop on "Quality Assurance System and Technical Support"

Following the third training workshop on " Online Course Development and Quality control" held in Middle East Technical University (Ankara, Turkey, 07-09 December, 2010), a fourth training workshop was organized at the Avicenna Centre of Philadelphia University in Amman (Jordan), on June 21-22, 2011 to further support the AVCI network.
