Research Title: DRUG RELEASE CONTROL AND ENHANCEMENT USING CARRIERS WITH DIFFERENT CONCENTRATIONS OF CAPMUL® MCM C8
Author: Mohammad Bayan, Published Year: 2021
International Journal of Applied Pharmaceutics, 13
Faculty: Pharmacy

Abstract: Objective: The main aim of this study was to design a drug carrier capable to control and enhance the release of poorly water soluble drugs. Methods: Three polymeric formulations, based on poly (2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) and loaded with different Capmul® MCM C8 concentrations (0, 10 and 20 % w/w), were prepared. Felodipine, which is a poorly soluble substance, was selected as a model drug. The effect of Capmul® MCM C8 on swelling behavior and in vitro release profile of the prepared polymer was investigated in PBS. Results: The swelling profiles of allformulationswere statistically similar, which indicated the non-significant effect of added Capmul® MCM C8 on polymer's swelling behavior. All formulations showed a delayed drug release. Formulation-F3, which is loaded with 20% w/wCapmul® MCM C8 displayed a significant higher release compared to the other formulations. Conclusion: Capmul® MCM products, which are widely used in food industries, can be used to improve the oral delivery of poorly soluble substances. The optimized formulation exhibited the ability to control and enhance the release of the model drug.

Research Title: Relationship between Bank Credit and Economic Growth: Evidence from Jordan
Author: Izzeddien Naef Ananzeh, Published Year: 2016
International Journal of Financial Research, Vol. 7, No. 2
Faculty: Business

Abstract: Despite the growing literatures that examined the relationship between financial developments and growth of any economy, there is scarceness in the empirical studies that examine the influence of bank credit on economic performance or growth at secrotal level of any country. Therefore this study came to examine the relationship between bank credit and economic growth in Jordan at different sectors for the period that span from 1993 to 2014. We employ two different methodologies Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and Granger Causality Test, The results report for a long run relationship could be inferred between Real GDP, and its Explanatory variables of Total Bank Credit (TBC); Bank Credit for Agriculture sector (CFA); Bank Credit for Industry sector (CFI); Bank Credit for Construction sector (CFC); Bank Credit for Tourism sector(CFT). So we can suggest that TBC, CFA, CFI, CFC, and CFT are in the long term relationship with the development of Jordanian economy. Granger causality test conclude for a causal relationship going from economic growth to bank credit at agriculture and construction sectors in Jordan economy. Also the results report bidirectional causality observed among economic development and bank credit to construction sector that is the most important sectors in this economy. Moreover, our results point out that the efficiency of the bank credit facilities in a major economic sectors has an important role in the Jordanian economic growth, and shows the needs to enhance the role of financial sector for different economic sectors by adopting more appropriate macroeconomic policies.

Abstract: The study points out the role of regulatory assessment in developing participatory work in Jordan focusing on both civil society organizations and Ministry of Political & Parliamentary Affairs. Jordan, nowadays ,has a rapidly evolving policy and regulatory environment. The problem that is rooted in our societies and national institutions manifests in the absence or lack of coordination in order to achieve the desired results that are planned to reach, namely the efficiency and effectiveness of the institutional performance of all sectors, especially the development sectors. The study poses the questions dealing with empowering a decentralized RIA System in Jordan, mainly: Determining the policies to be achieved to solve the problem, identifying the problems to be treated, determining the appropriate option for policy enforcement, determining the type of legislation required, determining who is responsible for preparing these legislations, and identifying the necessary legal and administrative mechanisms required. The research used the descriptive analytical, methodology. The study proposes an institutional mechanism of the (RIA) in Jordan. https://ccsenet.org/journal/index.php/jpl/article/view/73802

Faculty: Pharmacy

Abstract: A rare dimeric sesquiterpenoid (tinosposinoside, 1) and a phenylpropanoid (cordifolioside C, 2), two undescribed metabolites, were isolated from the methanolic extract of the stems of Tinospora sinensis together with thirteen known compounds. This is the second example of a sesquiterpene dimer where two monomers linked together through a cyclobutane ring, possibly generated through [2 + 2] cycloaddition. The structures of 1 and 2 were elucidated by NMR and mass techniques.

Abstract: This study, through special measurement tools, explores the attitude of Jordanian university students towards political participation. The study sample consisted of 1620 students who were selected randomly from two Jordanian universities, Jordan University and Philadelphia University. The study recommends that reform and clear amendments should be considered when introducing concepts of political participation in terms of curricula in all levels of civic and national education university courses. Civic, national, and political courses should be presented as essential requisites for graduates regardless of students’ faculties. University students should be engaged in activities and workshops to raise their awareness of political concepts so as to promote their political participation regardless of gender and demographic differences. Professors should be involved in workshops for applying better methodologies in teaching political concepts through the different courses regardless of the students’ faculties, specialties or level of education.

And finally ranked the (cultural level). There were also differences between the average grade of individuals on the scale of personality traits and in each of its areas according to the level of education variable. The results of the study showed that there are statistically significant differences in personality characteristics according to the level of education variable in the field of knowledge and were in favor of the master while there were differences of statistical significance attributed to gender variable in favor of females.
