The Public Relations Department at Philadelphia University serves as the vital link between the various faculties, departments, and centers within the University, on the one hand, and students and the external public- including institutions and individuals-on the other. The Department also represents the University’s window through which the administration observes its academic and administrative components. Its primary mission is to introduce the University’s mission, achievements, and future vision, in addition to strengthening its position as a leading educational institution that contributes to the development and progress of society.
The Department strives to solidify the University's reputation and corporate image, and support its distinguished academic presence by highlighting its achievements and progress in the fields of education and scientific research. It also works to expand its network of relationships with various sectors and local communities in both the public and private sectors, thereby enhancing cooperation opportunities and the development of joint projects. Furthermore, the Department undertakes the organization of academic, cultural, and social events, granting the University a platform to showcase its research and accomplishments, while simultaneously providing a venue to boost the interaction of students and faculty members with the local community. Through these efforts, the Department contributes to presenting a respectable image of the University, which helps in attracting distinguished students and researchers and ensures the sustainability of academic excellence.
The Department's duties vary across administrative and technical levels, in addition to its role in preparing organizational arrangements and time schedules for various activities and events. It is also responsible for providing information and data related to the University and its services, and enhancing internal and external communication to build strong relationships with all relevant stakeholders. The Department also prepares and disseminates media content through press releases and periodic newsletters that highlight scientific and academic achievements and the diverse university movement. A summary About the Department
The Department houses two divisions:
Personnel Affairs Division:
- All types of vacations and entering them on the computer (annual, sick leave, other leaves….etc.).
- Health insurance issues.
- Annual increase and appointments.
- Resignations, contract termination, and quittance procedures.
- Contract preparation and renewal.
- Issuing certificates of experience upon administrative staff members' requests.
Scholarships Division:
- Following up students who are awarded scholarships for earning the master's degree or the doctorate degree to satisfy University needs for certain specializations as per regulations set for this purpose.
- Concluding contracts with students who are awarded scholarships and providing all documents required for dispatching them such as real estate mortgage and notary surety bond.
- Following the course of study of the students who are awarded scholarships to ensure their good performance at their universities.
