About the Department

Since its inception in the Faculty of Science at the beginning of the 1991-1992 academic year, the Basic Sciences Department has sought to achieve the vision and mission of the university, deriving its objectives from them, striving to prepare students and equip them with fundamental scientific knowledge in their specializations. The Basic Sciences Department serves as a gateway for all specializations across various scientific faculties.

The Basic Sciences Department meets students' needs in various basic sciences such as mathematics, physics, chemistry, life sciences, digital culture, and health culture, with the aim of providing them with essential skills in different fields, which contribute to their intellectual, cultural, professional, ethical, and social maturity through a distinguished educational environment that stimulates creativity, relying on faculty members who perform their duties towards their students with competence, integrity, and dedication. Thus, the department looks forward to continuity in giving, developing performance, and motivating students, as they are tomorrow's leaders and builders of the future.
