Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the leading academic institution that combines science, innovation, and continuous development. The faculty contributes to building a generation of creative engineers capable of keeping pace with technological developments and the Fourth Industrial Revolution that the world is witnessing today. It also seeks to provide distinguished engineering education based on the balance between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, enabling students to develop their engineering skills and capabilities according to the highest academic standards.
The Faculty of Engineering at Philadelphia University was established in 1991, and since 1995, the faculty has graduated approximately 5000 students from its various specializations, which are locally accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Higher Education Institutions and regionally by the Arab Engineers Union. The Faculty of Engineering and Technology offers comprehensive academic programs in a diverse range of engineering disciplines, including Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy, Mechatronics Engineering, in addition to the newly introduced specialization of Intelligent Systems Engineering. In the field of graduate studies, there is a distinguished Master's program in Mechatronics Engineering in joint cooperation with Bochum University in Germany. The faculty is constantly keen to develop its courses to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution, represented by artificial intelligence and its various applications in diverse engineering disciplines.
These programs work to provide students with the basic and applied knowledge necessary to meet the increasing needs of the labor market and develop innovative solutions to contemporary technical problems. Furthermore, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology seeks excellence in the field of engineering and technological education and scientific research. Its educational system is based on preparing graduates qualified for the labor market by developing engineering design skills, communication, leadership, and creativity skills to achieve the goal of "Engineering at the Forefront".
The faculty also pays great attention to developing the student's personality and their ability to work in teams, lead, and communicate effectively, making its graduates ready to work in diverse and demanding professional environments. Likewise, since its establishment, the Faculty of Engineering and Technology has been organizing local and international scientific conferences, and the faculty works to employ the energies of students and faculty members in projects that serve the local community.
The faculty has received more than 60 awards at the local, regional, and international levels, and the scientific research teams in the faculty have published more than 400 research papers in local and international journals and conferences.
