Vision

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature aims at:

1. Offering quality instruction in the Chinese Language and Literature to all students who enroll in the program;
2. Preparing its graduates to occupy respectable and fruitful positions in job market and life planning;
3. Establishing productive academic and multi-facet interaction with other specializations, departments, institutes of Philadelphia University, Liaocheng University and other higher learning institutions;
4. Developing a bilateral exchange and cooperation platform between Jordan and China.

Mission

The Department of Chinese Language and Literature strives to:

1. Offer students standard Chinese language and literature courses specified in the curriculum by well-qualified and experienced Chinese/Jordanian staff;
2. Equip students with the up-to-date language basics and academic research information in related fields in light of written documents or modern computer-aided access;
3. Help students develop both language competence and ability in interpersonal interactions with Chinese people in such circumstances as political and diplomatic issues, language studies, business, tourism, and cultural exchanges;
4. Motivate students’ lifelong learning, innovation plans, and productive partnership with local community.
