Kp1. Clarify the impact of financial technology on the functions and operations of financial markets and institutions.

Welcome to the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences website at the University of Philadelphia.
Since its foundation in 1996, the Department of Finance and Banking Sciences has launched a Bachelor of Finance and Banking Sciences. The program consists of courses aimed at qualifying students theoretically and practically in the different fields of finance. The department has also recently established a Bachelor of Financial Technology in response to the labor market's need for qualified human resources that combine financial knowledge and technological skills. The program began enrolling students in the first semester of the academic year 2021/2022.
The department has a diverse faculty group regarding their scientific backgrounds and teaching and research interests, enriching its academic environment. In addition to teaching, the department focuses on scientific research by publishing scientific research in internationally acclaimed journals, besides participating in scientific conferences and seminars that discuss new financial and banking issues. The department prides itself by partnerships with specialized professional entities that give the department students a range of privileges that help them obtain a range of professional certificates required in the local and international labor market. Last but not least, the department is keen to apply regional and international quality assurance standards in all its work.
