Automated Catalogs and Their Utilization

Searching in the Automated Catalogs:
The automated catalogs available at the library entrance, as indicated by the guidance panel next to them, provide comprehensive information about books, including the author's name, book title, publication details, and classification code. The classification code helps users locate the book on the shelf, as shown in the example below.
To search the library's catalog system, follow these steps:
- For Arabic Language Search:
- To search for a book title, select "البحث في العنوان" (Search by Title)
- To search for an author, select "البحث في المؤلف" (Search by Author)
- To search by subject, select "البحث في الموضوع" (Search by Subject)
- For English Language Search:
- To search for a book title, select "Search by Title"
- To search for an author, select "Search by Author"
- To search by subject, select "Search by Subject"
Enter your search query and click the Search button to display the results. Record the classification code and proceed to the relevant book hall to locate the book on the shelf.
For more detailed results, select "Advanced Search" to refine your query further.
Once you find the book's classification number in the search results, proceed to the designated hall where the book is located. Search for the book in its assigned section without disturbing the arrangement of other books on the shelves. Books are systematically arranged in ascending order, starting from 000 to 999.
After retrieving the required book, visit the Circulation Desk with your university ID card to complete the borrowing process.
